Basics of Medical QiGong
Originally based in a deep relationship with nature, QiGong offers an energetic map of our body-emotion-mind.
It teaches how movement, stillness, breath, sound, colour and visualisation can be used in a simple and effective way to develop a beneficial and centred approach to living with queer intention in the world.
There will be the opportunity for sharing simple breath techniques and developing Qi as a therapeutic tool, as well as the chance for open forum sharing.

Coming home to Nature
Communing with nature, and attuning to the cycles of the seasons and the moon, can improve our mental health, awaken our creative souls - and help us heal from the wounds received in a world that denies the sacred oneness of humanity, nature and the gods: through Nature we can know ourselves as children of creation – made of earth-air-fire-water-space, of body-mind-spirit-emotion, the union of matter-awareness-love.
Shokti will present the solar system as a map of human consciousness, and show how astrology reveals the journey our souls have long been taking, individually and collectively. Through elemental and astrological archetypes we can also learn about our personal inner balance of female/male and non-binary energies, understand the roles we play in the cosmic dance and gain understanding of the turbulence of our times as the Earth transitions from the Age of Pisces to Aquarius.
'In our Mother’s world, we do not have to struggle for enlightenment. Her light is always with us. We do not have to be reborn, for each moment of our lives is a new creation in her infinite, eternal body, and we are always a part of it.'

Heart Sharing Circle
The heart circle space will be open from 10am each morning for you to gently arrive and land, with container agreements and a short embodiment exercise to bring back to ourselves before we share what is present for us.
This is a space for everyone to be heard, whether they choose to speak or not.
Your silence is as welcome as your voice. Our words are our truth in the moment when we speak from the heart and speak spontaneously.

Morning Meditation in the Healing Area
Every day will have a different focus and the 90 minutes will be divided into two parts:
In the first half an hour I would like to give some guidance and talk about today’s meditation. This might give you a better understanding of what it can mean for you and how you could incorporate it into your daily life. This first part is dedicated to those without any previous experience, but of course everybody is welcome. During the second part, approx. 45 minutes, you will have the opportunity to practice and feel it by yourself. And it is during this second part that I would like to invite experienced meditators to come and sit with us.
No experience or knowledge is needed to come and join.
On Friday we will connect with gratitude to our ‘inner-still-point’. A beautiful place we can always go to when things or thoughts in our daily life get too tough or overwhelming.
Saturday will offer us a deeper connection into our bodies, giving attention to all the sensations, feelings, and emotions that might come up.
On Sunday, if the weather allows, we will go on a walking meditation to really connect to Mother Earth. Along the way plants and trees might want to give us their energy and love, therefore there is some uncertainty about how long this Sunday session might take.
On Monday, a Vipassana-meditation will offer us to sit in silence and connect to whatever wants to be noticed.

No More Drama
Queer people are often feeling victims of society.
We have to stand for our rights, to stay somehow loved by ourselves against bullying, discrimination, being prejudged, or just being treated as transparent which raises the victims in us. We also have to deal with lots of anger and rage and we have to stand for each other when our beloved are feeling helpless.
The drama triangle was invented by Dan Carpman and is dealing with the Victim-Attacker-Rescuer relationship that is living inside of us and in relationship with the world.
We are going to explore it in queer relationships in order to spiritually rise above the triangle into a free mature loving relationship that will help live a healthy life. Let's meet and explore the ancient pain which is the cure to our future.

Recovery Group
We can be addicted to (or have compulsions and obsessions about) many things. Alcohol, drugs, food, work and relationships to name a few. We can also be affected when someone we love is in addiction.
12 Step Recovery Groups at Queer Spirit follow a general 12 Step meeting structure using the principles and traditions set out in AA. We will have readings, after which people will be invited to share without feedback or response - similar to a heart support circle. People with any experience of any addiction are welcome.
If you are unsure about the label of addiction or whether you qualify to need support - you are welcome. If you are curious for any reason about what happens in a 12 Step Group - this is an open space for all. We look forward to meeting you there.

The Science and Spirituality of Wellbeing
Happiness isn’t a one-size-fits-all phenomenon. What brings one person bliss might be another’s headache, but there are some habits and practices that have a long spiritual history of improving wellbeing.
As we move deeper into the twenty-first century, what can science teach us about taking control of our happiness?
In this two-hour workshop, we’ll put the hands of spirituality and science together as we explore ten practices that have empirical scientific backing behind them. We’ll also explore the ways in which aspects of spiritual practice can be validated by science.
Is happiness genetic? How can we tailor our practice to our own personality? Can we be happier?

Yoga Nidra - Rest to Reawaken
The magical practice of Yoga Nidra generally referred to as "yogic sleep", invites you into a liminal space between an awakened and sleeping state, which has the potential to reawaken your innate capacity for deep healing and creativity.
My words will invite you to journey into your inner world and connect with all that is arising, all that is awake in your awareness as your body rests.
There is nothing to 'do' and there is no way to get it wrong - it is your practice, and you are invited to simply be, just as you are.
