Transcendental sound journey & Drum Circle

Full Moon Drum Circle, London

May's Radical Faerie - Queer Spirit Drum Circle will be different! We are going on a transcendental sound journey, performed and facilitated by Faerie Mystic.

We arrive in this world with our first inhale and we depart with our last exhale. The Breath is an inevitable and often unconscious part of our life.

The Faerie Mystic project combines acoustic and electronic musical expression along with Shamanic and Eastern spiritual practice. Classical woodwinds along with different ethnic instruments such as didgeridoo, Jewish harp and Tic6d28an singing bowls create an ambient, tribal sound inspired by the indigenous music of Eastern and Western Europe as well as central Asia. Adding live loops, electronic effects and even Mongolian overtone singing centuries of culture are incorporated into the experience.

On this journey we will:

  • Explore the connection to our breath with music, guided visualisations, creative practice and dance
  • Music created by Faerie Mystic will include live loops, woodwinds and indigenous Central Asian and other instruments
  • Dance and movement will be accompanied by a collaboration between Faerie Mystic and music from Ethno House DJ Pawel Ketarcis

Recommended to bring along a yoga mat/blanket/cushion – the evening will involve meditation as well as movement, and will end with drumming and dancing.

The Faerie Mystic project is led by Vlad Kolodiinsky. Vlad has a PhD in Psychology and has practised as an integrative art therapist working in mental health counselling and research. He is a multi instrumentalist and electronic music producer. Vlad has been practicing Central Asian shamanic practices, pilgrimage and other Eastern spiritual practices for over 20 years.
