Gloria Gayer (Paul Rathbone)  [Technical and DJ Performance]

The 2017 festival was a spiritual awakening for me. Having always appreciated creating events I recognised the importance of contributing here and in 2019 I was welcomed to help create Queer Spirit. I was studying an undergraduate degree in Audio Technology at the University of Derby from whom I was able to loan all the equipment we needed to conceive, construct and manage the audio requirements for the Big Top.

In 2024 I am organising DJ requirements across our two performance areas, which includes the pre-festival admin, sourcing audio and lighting equipment and get-in, build, stage management, take-down and get-out responsibilities. For future festivals I hope I can offer the skills I learn from studying an MA in Events Management to help an already strong team make Queer Spirit even more successful.
