Please can all facilitators and presenters and staff be reminded that this is an inclusive Festival and that all and everyone should be catered for, especially those with a medical issue.
This is especially important for those who are hard of hearing or worse. In general so many teachers and presenters ignore this issue which as one so afflicted I find incredibly irritating, stressful, and disconnecting.
Over the years I have attended many personal development workshops and retreats - some at great expense - and the worst presenters have been self-taught facilitators in the tantra and sexuality scenes.
Last year the worst venue for being hard of hearing was in the so-termed Sacred Sexuality Temple. In there so many facilitators or presenters quietly mumbled incoherently that even when sitting in front of them it was impossible to lip read. Then when he / she / they turned away or went to the back of the space lip reading was completely impossible.
Therefore important instructions re: health and safety and consent went unheard and therefore were not understood.
And for guided meditations when lying down with eyes shut these need to be conducted with a radio mic. at the very least.
Indeed last year I cancelled my attendance at some of the sessions there due to the facilitators being known to mumble incoherently.
And at all of the workshops I attended at the Festival both last year and in previous years not one facilitator has ever bothered to ask if they could be heard OK by everyone there.
So the request this year is for all facilitators, presenters, and staff to please include the hard of hearing in their workshops - and honour the inclusivity of the Festival - by at least using a radio mic. and/or speaking loudly, clearly, and distinctly.
Thank you.

Please do something about the toilets - they are full to overflowing and there’s no toilet paper. Secondly please could facilitators of body work / intimate touch workshops really push the use of hygiene especially the use of hand gel. It appears that there is diarrhoea going around. Thank you.
